If you live in Port Royal, Third Street South is a bike ride, not a destination. That changes the way you read a summer dining update. You are not looking for a "top ten" list. You are looking for what has actually changed on the block since May, which patios are worth the pedal over on a Wednesday, and which kitchens have quietly repriced themselves for the people who stayed.

The second is a full concept swap on 12th Avenue South. La Salière launched November 7 in The Bevy's former space at 360 12th Ave S in Old Naples, a 2,600-square-foot room on the south side of 12th Avenue South just east of Third Street South. It is not a rebrand in name only. La Salière is a new addition to the Frittella family's restaurant portfolio, with Stefano Frittella and Chef Sabato Toscano bringing their decades-long culinary collaboration to downtown Naples. The Frittella name will be familiar to anyone who has eaten on Fifth in the last twenty years: the family is a partner in BiCE Ristorante, Caffe Milano, La Trattoria and Vergina. The pedigree matters because both La Salière and Casa Avenue 31 were born in Monaco, and La Salière was Stefano's first restaurant, opened in 1982.

Hours are unusually generous for the district. Dinner runs daily 5:30 p.m. to midnight, brunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and happy hour 3 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily. A late-night kitchen two blocks off Third is a genuinely new option this year.

The room that turned into a music venue

Campiello has always been a Third Street anchor. What changed this year is what happens in the back. The Club Room showcases a reclaimed barn wood ceiling, commissioned art, and a performance stage. Starting January 1, 2026, a brand-new music program launched in The ClubRoom at Campiello, featuring local and national talent, with walk-ins welcome. If you have been treating Campiello as a dinner-only stop, the back room is now the reason to linger past dessert.

The locals' math

Here is the argument that gets missed in most summer roundups. Summer pricing on Third Street South is not a discount. It is a different menu built for a different customer. Summer is when Naples restaurants reward the people who stayed.

That description reads like marketing copy in February. In July, when the crowds thin, it reads like an accurate schedule. The morning window between 7:30 and 10:00 is when Third Street actually behaves the way the brochures promise.

The patio question

If you are walking over from Port Royal in July, shade is not optional. Two rooms handle the afternoon light better than the rest.

Barbatella offers scenic views along Third Street South on its covered outdoor patio, alongside a bar and lounge stocked with more than 100 Italian wines and dining areas with brick floors and wood accents. The homemade Italian ices, gelatos and sorbets are also available as individual portions to wander with. The covered patio is the operative detail. It is one of the few outdoor rooms on Third that stays usable through a summer thunderstorm.

La Salière's new room is the counterpart for the evening. Its design combines Mediterranean elegance with a timeless Italian villa aesthetic, with cascades of magenta bougainvillea flowing from the exterior into the interior, creating a garden-like atmosphere for 120 guests.

What is coming, and why it matters here

One more piece of context that sits outside Third Street but reshapes how residents will think about a weekday dinner north of downtown. Eddie V's Prime Seafood is targeting a summer 2026 opening at the southwest corner of Waterside Shops, with more than 300 wines on the list, a V Lounge with live music trios nightly, and the first Darden concept at this tier to open in Naples. For Port Royal, the practical effect is competitive: a new high-end room north of Old Naples tends to pull a certain kind of crowd out of Third Street on the weekends it opens, which is good news for anyone who wants a Saturday table at Sea Salt or Campiello without booking two weeks out.

How a Port Royal weekend actually uses Third in July

Not as a checklist. As a routine.

Saturday starts at the farmer's market behind Tommy Bahama between 8:00 and 10:00, then a pastry and coffee at either Annie's on Broad or Tony's Off Third, which Tony's Off Third continues to run as a gourmet bakery, coffee and wine shop.
